Tshwane Sliding Scale
Your pre-paid sub-meter can be transferred from any Company to Pre-Paid Secure at no charge.
For every 100 new sub-meter applications, one sub-meter will be given away FREE OF CHARGE. T/C apply.
City of Tshwane has put a hold on Smart Meter installations.
New applications accepted:
Main meters - Tshwane only.
Sub-meters - Nation wide.
Only applicable to Tshwane Main Meters:
For every 100 new applications submitted by Pre-Paid secure, one name will be drawn for a free meter worth R2450.00.
How to buy prepaid electricity online:
To register, SMS your Pre-Paid Meter Number to: 076 025 5929. Make sure your cell number is visible.
Load Pre-Paid Secure as a normal beneficiary - use any bank account listed on this page.
Use the same bank you are making the deposit from - example: FNB to FNB
NB! Please sms proof of payment to 076 025 5929.
NOTE: You MUST use your meter number as reference - if not, we will not be able to identify your transaction.
You will receive an sms with your token number in 5 minutes or less.
- Business Hours: 06h00 - 22h00 - 7 days a week, all public holidays included.

- Unfortunately, we cannot accept cheques.
Deposit for pre-paid electricity:
Send a personal sms to: 082 571 9574 / 076 025 5929 if your deposit for electricity is R100.00 or less.
The banks only send a notification to Pre-Paid Secure for deposits larger than R100.00.
Only use your meter number as reference. Please DO NOT include any other text such as your name, etc., as this WILL delay processing of your deposit.
Pre-Paid Secure will automatically process your deposit within 5 minutes of receiving the notification message from our banks. This will fail if your deposit reference is incorrect.
